Quick Checklist
- Restart Deadsimple: Swipe up to close the app, then reopen it to reset the voice capture session.
- Check microphone permissions: Visit iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Microphone and confirm Deadsimple is enabled.
- Verify speech language: Open the in-app Settings screen and make sure the selected language matches how you dictate tasks.
- Stay connected: Intent parsing requires a network connection after transcription completes. Wi-Fi or cellular data both work.
Troubleshooting Voice Capture
If you see repeated short-capture errors, keep the capture button pressed for at least one second. For inconsistent transcripts, move to a quieter space or switch the speech language in Settings. Should the app freeze while listening, toggle Airplane Mode off and on, then relaunch Deadsimple; this resets the audio session without affecting your tasks.
Report a Bug
Share as many details as possible, including screenshots or screen recordings if available. Mention the steps that trigger the issue and whether it happens consistently. This helps us replicate the problem quickly and ship a fix.
Data and Privacy Requests
Deadsimple is local-first, but synced items may also live in your private iCloud container and some encrypted shared-list, quota, and device-attestation records live on our backend. Deleting the app removes the local copy on that device. If you need help removing iCloud or backend data, contact and include enough detail for us to identify the relevant records.
